The Sole Proprietorship of “Abbas Lakdawalla” is in Corporate Law practice since 2001 and was run by a Company Secretary Abbas Lakdawalla, a reputed name in the Corporate World.
The personal practice was Corporatized and “Abbas Lakdawalla & Associates LLP” was registered in the year 2021 which took over the existing sole proprietorship of PCS Abbas Lakdawalla. CS Abbas Lakdawalla entered into a partnership with CS Vyoma Desai to expand and grow the practice so as to cater to a large base of Corporate and LLP clients. Now along with Designated Partners, the Firm also has 3 qualified Company Secretaries as Associates and a full team of dedicated staff and paralegal team to support the Partners and Associates in servicing the corporate clients. We are headquartered in Mumbai and have associates in Pune, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengalore, Jaipur and Noida. We also have office in Sydney, Australia and representative offices at Singapore, Dubai, California USA, London UK and Vancouver Canada.
The Firm has immense experience and specializes in dealing with matters relating to Company Law, Securities Laws, Corporate Governance matters, Legal Due Diligence, Mergers and Acquisitions, other Due Diligence.
CS. ABBAS LAKDAWALLA
CS. Abbas Lakdawalla is a Graduate in Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Fellow Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is a practicing Company Secretary having more than three decades of work experience in Corporate Laws, handling Legal, Secretarial and Corporate Matters. Now he is a Designated Partner of Abbas Lakdawalla and Associates LLP which was registered in March 2021.
Currently serving the Corporate’s on handling matters pertaining to compliance, procedure, approval, representation of clients at Authorities such as RBI, CLB, SEBI, RD, ROC etc and providing opinion on management, legal, secretarial matters. Earlier worked with several Corporate’s at different positions assisting them in the Accounting, Audit and Company Secretarial matters. Also, serviced as consultants for corporate law advisory services, Registrar & Share Transfer Agent for several Listed Companies.
Earlier he was associated with Smart Investment Consultants as a Managing Partner from 1994-2000 which dealt in providing service to clients to buy and sell securities on National Stock Exchange as a cardholder of NSE, India and preparing Market Analytic Reports and maintaining portfolio Management Services. He also served as Chief Executive Officer at EPIC Financial Services Pvt Ltd from 1986 – 1994 which dealt in providing Registrar & Transfer Agency Services to Listed Companies with a servicing base around a Million Shareholders. He role was mainly in attending, advising Corporate’s on Public Offerings and Listing on Stock Exchanges.
CS. VYOMA DESAI
CS. Vyoma Desai is a Graduate in Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, having more than 8 years of Experience in Corporate Law, Secretarial Compliances, NBFC Compliances and Compounding of an offence under FEMA, Due diligence. Now she is a Designated Partner of Abbas Lakdawalla and Associate LLP which was registered in March 2021. She has handled matters relating to compliance, procedure, approval, representation of clients at Authorities such as RBI, CLB, SEBI, RD, ROC etc
